Bienvenido a Mi Mundo
I am a bilingual professional with more than 10 years of experience in education, youth services, residential care, security operations, and community support. Throughout my career, I have been committed to helping individuals overcome challenges, develop practical skills, and achieve greater independence.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies with a Minor in Psychology from the University of Maine at Presque Isle, an Associate of Applied Science from Pierpont Community & Technical College, and additional technical training in information technology and workforce development. My educational background has provided a strong foundation in human behavior, communication, psychology, and problem-solving.
For more than eight years, I worked with immigrant and refugee youth in ORR-funded programs, providing ESL instruction, Civics education, digital literacy training, life-skills development, behavioral support, and youth mentorship. I am fluent in English and Spanish and have extensive experience working with individuals from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
My professional experience has expanded into residential care and behavioral health settings, where I support youth and adults experiencing emotional, behavioral, developmental, and mental health challenges. My work includes trauma-informed care, crisis intervention, conflict resolution, safety monitoring, documentation, compliance reporting, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
In addition to my human services experience, I possess strong technical skills in Microsoft Office, database systems, educational technology, computer troubleshooting, and network administration. This combination of social services and technical expertise allows me to adapt quickly, solve problems effectively, and contribute to a wide range of professional environments.
I am passionate about building positive relationships, promoting personal growth, and helping individuals create stable and successful futures.
